POTTY PEOPLE

created and performed by Zoey Laird

The Magnetic Theatre is proud to produce POTTY PEOPLE, created and performed by Zoey Laird. This incredibly versatile, spontaneous and charismatic performer will take audiences on a wild ride as she seamlessly shifts into one character after the next, all in the same run-down bathroom stall. Attendees beware – this material is not for the faint of heart.

Zoey developed POTTY PEOPLE while she was studying theatre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The show made its debut at the 2019 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival, performed to delighted audiences at the Sly Grog Lounge. The Magnetic Theatre is thrilled to be hosting its reprisal, and can’t wait to share the work of this captivating performer, while she is still gracing Asheville with her time and talent.

Synopsis:. Who needs a glory hole when you can break the fourth wall? In POTTY PEOPLE, Zoey Laird makes the personal public, and makes private time into a fun time for all. This one-woman show rotates a carousel of characters around the commode; her bathroom is plumb personality. Crazy's coming out one-way or another ...  find out if the potty people flush!

POTTY PEOPLE will have Sunday evening performances on May 12th, 19th and 26th at 7:30pm at The Magnetic Theatre, located at 375 Depot Street in the River Arts District. Tickets are $13 for General Admission and $10 for students.
